Collective Impact Solutions (CIS) is the bridge between community and governmental entities, elevating community voices. Our mission is to center the voices and experiences of those most affected by systemic inequities, shifting the norm and creating systemic structures that prioritize equity and justice.
At Collective Impact Solutions (CIS), we believe in creating lasting change by working together to remove barriers and fix unfair systems. We focus on changing policies and practices that have held people back, especially in communities affected by racism and inequality.
We use the Single System of Support Framework (SSoSF), which combines research and real-life experiences to design solutions that meet each community’s unique needs. Our team includes experts from all levels—local, state, and national—who bring the best practices to help create change.
Working Together
We believe real change happens when we all work together in trust and partnership. We make sure that everyone—nonprofits, schools, governments, and communities—works toward the same goals. By aligning efforts, we build strong plans that deliver real results for the people we serve.
At CIS, we are driven by the idea that we can make systems fairer and create better opportunities for everyone through collaboration and shared commitment.
Dr. Mendiola didn't just study systemic change, she lived it. After 23 years leading transformation efforts as an Assistant Superintendent, Director, and Coordinator across multiple school districts, she made a strategic decision: systems change faster when pushed from the outside with inside knowledge.
Her Unique Perspective:
"I spent decades working within government systems. Now I use that insider knowledge to help communities navigate those same systems more effectively. The difference is night and day when communities have someone who truly understands how government works."
Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, Mirna brings rare dual expertise in government operations and nonprofit strategy. Her 6 years in human services and public health, combined with 16+ years in nonprofit leadership, creates unique insight into what actually works on both sides of the partnership equation.
Her Strategic Value:
Puri graduated with an Associates degree in Psychology from San Deigo Mesa College. She is currently attending San Diego State University for her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work. Puri has experience working with children with Autism as an Applied Behavior Technician and three years experience in retail.
